Before & After
A collection of before and after photos that illustrate what can be achieved with a well designed renovation. -
Yuile Street
Although modern on the inside, the clients for this new home preferred a more traditionally styled exterior to suit the surrounding streetscape. -
Watson Street
A new home designed in a contemporary architectural style for a young family. Winner of a 2009 MBAV Award for Best New Home and finalist in Melbourne Design Awards. As featured in "Best Houses" 2011 . -
Hunter Road
Strengthening the connection between inside and out was key to this renovation. The additions to the house were designed to blend with the architectural style of the existing house, while also creating a modern home for a growing, young family. -
Brandon Street
A respectful renovation and extension of this pre-war house on the Summerhill Estate deceptively conceals a large family home. -
Jacka Street
The funky and contemporary architectural style of this house carries through the interior to give an industrial feel. Courtyards and highlight windows provide abundant natural light and a timber footbridge is a striking feature running the entire length of the house. -
Cole Street
A luxury new home with generous, open-plan spaces. Although large, the home also displays warmth through the use of colour and careful selection of building materials and finishes. -
Abinger Street
A tired, Victorian terrace house had a long overdue facelift in this renovation project. The slope of the site allowed a split-level addition at the rear - including a loft study space on the first floor level. Winner of MBAV Award 2007 -
Hortense Street
On completion, a single-storey clinker brick home was renovated to become a luxurious double-storey home, in keeping with its existing architectural style. -
Alma Road
Open-plan living spaces in this house maintain a good connection with the garden areas beyond. Designed with the flexibility to suit a growing young family and their visitors, this house includes the perfect blend of formal and informal spaces for the family. -
Melbourne Road
This home was completely renovated and rebuilt for a semi-retired couple. A pavilion style layout was chosen to allow the house to be rebuilt in two stages. -
